The Hellenic Dance Program has been flourishing here in Marietta. We have been a part of the community since 1991, and we continue to grow. Today we have over 100 children in six dance groups that cover Pre-K to 12th grades, as well as a Young Adult group.

The Marietta Hellenic Dance Program through Holy Transfiguration has a strong tradition as being one of the top Greek Dance programs in the southeast. Our senior group, Eleftheria (high school troupe), won the bronze medal in 2005 and 2009; the junior group, Phoenix (middle school troupe) won the bronze medal in 2006 and 2007 at the Hellenic Dance Festival Competitions dancing against other Orthodox church programs in the Southeast.

We hope you enjoy all of our traditional shows through the day, and stay with us until closing time to enjoy modern and contemporary shows. The evening shows will take us through modern times in Greece. We will begin your time travels in the 1910's - 1940's with the Rembetiko Period. Then we will move through to the prosperous age of the 1950's - 1970's where you will see your "Zorba the Greek" favorites. We will end the evening with the most contemporary dancing of them all, choreographed to the latest in Greek club hits.
